A study conducted by psychologists from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and the University of Stirling found that children with autism it can generate extraordinary ideas. The level of creativity they even praised for being so genuine.

Study co-author Dr. Martin Doherty of the University of Norfolk say, children with autism also produce quality work that can be the solution of a problem.

"They have the potential to be developed and positive implications for creative problem solving," he said, as reported by the Times of India, Sunday (16/08/2015).

This is the first study to find the characteristics of autism and creative thinking processes. The study, published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders is based on previous research that showed some traits associated with autism and creativity.

The researchers analyzed data from 312 children with autism and they were asked to complete the anonymous online questionnaire to measure the level of autism and participated in a series of tests of creativity.

The result, quite surprising. They have creativity in different ways. Are even able to create a distinctive ideas.

"In other words, the brain's ability to generate ideas kretif so intact or superior," he said

Some famous people with autism also mentioned, such as the British architectural artist Stephen Wiltshire and author and activist Temple Grandin, extraordinarily creative.

This finding is expected to encourage researchers to understand more about how the brains of people with autism and how they adapt to solve problems.
